Online Re-Enrollment Deadline 8/22
This year, the Menlo Park City School District is handling much of the student Re-Enrollment process online, using a company called Infosnap. The district has emailed the Re-Enrollment instructions to all families.
If you have not received these instructions, please contact the registrar@mpcsd.org (preferred) or 650-321-7140 x5600 with your name and your child's name, school, and grade. Provisions can be made for those without internet or printer access.
Please complete the online Re-Enrollment before the first day of school on August 22 and send the following two forms to school with each of your children on the first day of school. These are mandatory forms required for all students.
- Emergency ID Tag - print, sign, add your teacher's name, and turn in to your child's teacher
- Student Technology Acceptable Use Policy - print, sign, have your child sign (if appropriate for their age), and turn in to your child's teacher

Hot Lunch For All Children - From Day One of School
Children qualifying for free and reduced lunch may now enjoy ChoiceLunch meals because Encinal has qualified for the Federal Hot Lunch Program.
Part of qualifying for Federal Hot lunch is serving hot lunch every day of school, starting with the first day.
Please consider volunteering to help serve in those first few weeks so all the children new to ChoiceLunch may get their food easily and quickly. Volunteers earn a lunch credit.
And if you are planning to order ChoiceLunch on that first day of school, ChoiceLunch requires online signups before August 21.

Meet and Greet 8/19
Please bring your children to visit their new classrooms and meet their new teachers on August 19. After the classroom visit, please visit the Encinal garden for a tasty otter pop treat. Otter pops for kindergarten families will be at the garden in the kinder play ground.
Here is the schedule:
Kindergarten 1:00-1:30pm 1st grade 1:30-2:00pm 2nd & 3rd 2:00-2:30pm 4th & 5th 2:30-3:00pm
Families of students in grades K-2 please bring your completed Transportation Information Sheet that arrives by mail in August.
Encinal Spiritwear will be available for sale, so bring your checkbook.

Help Prepare the Encinal Garden Tomorrow 8/17
Encinal's garden curriculum is entirely volunteer-run. We are getting the garden prepared for the school year tomorrow and will welcome any volunteers who could help. Volunteers work 9-11am. See website for more info.

Head Room Parents Deadline 8/23
 Every classroom will need one by the second day of school. Now that class lists are posted and the beginning of school is upon us, consider helping your child's teacher to make the year run smoothly. If you are interested, please contact Kathy Miller at hrpcoordinatoor@encinalschool.com, and plan to attend the HRP training on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 8:30am in the TERC building. |
