Negotiate

Every day people come to the Ultimate Body Studios to join our signature 20 Week Body Transformation Program. Many of these people, maybe not unlike yourself, have reached a point where they can't take it anymore.
People get sick of being overweight, they get sick of being tired all the time and they know that with proper nutrition and exercise huge changes can be made. These people know that they have to change or that they will have shorter, less fulfilling lives. What they need is someone to help them find their way to their goals in the best, most efficient way possible.
One of the most important aspects of creating an incredible transformation involves the art of "negoatiation." Or, more properly stated, the lack thereof.
What I mean is that in order to achieve the best body you can, you should stop negotiating every day in your life. Each time you face new decisions that need to be made, you sometimes negotiate with yourself in order to get something you want. For example, when it comes to food choices, we all could choose the hamburger with fries and a Coke. But, being that we want to watch what we eat, we decide on the grilled chicken salad instead.
Then the negotiations I'm talking about begin. You see, it's common to think that since you didn't do the burger and fries, then you can allow yourself to have a little extra ranch dressing and maybe some bacon bits.
This is the kind of negotiating that I am talking about and this is exactly what stands in the way of so many people's efforts at reaching their goals.
The simple truth is that if you want to do amazing things in the Ultimate Body Program and in your life, negotiate less with yourself. In the end, the fact that you "paid full price" for what you have earned makes it all that much better and fulfilling.
A new cycle of Ultimate Body Transformations awaits you and there is a special at the bottom of the page to help you get started. If you have questions, please call me. Together, we can help you build a body that will empower you, open new doors for you change your life forever.

Member Spotlight
Update on Barry V.
If you remember just a short while back, we featured a new member named Barry. Well, Barry has been in the program for 10 weeks now and without revealing too much information only half way through his program, we wanted to give you an update.
Did you know that the average weight of an 7 year old is 45 pounds. What does that have to do with Barry? Well, let's just say that Barry has lost an average 7 year old in his first 10 weeks. Congratulations Barry! What will you do in the second half of your 20 week program?
We will check back in 10 weeks!!!
The De La Cruz Family
In our March issue, we spotlighted the incredible success of the De La Cruz family. However, in our haste to get the newsletter delivered, we erroneously listed their last name as De La Garza. Our sincerest apologies to the De La Cruz family. We, at Ultimate Body, are very proud of all of your successes in your families endeavors to get fit and healthy!

If you were to think back just 20 short weeks ago, chances are you would remember receiving one of these newsletters. You probably opened it, thought about joining the Ultimate Body Program, but in the end, you didn't.
So, I ask, how do you look today? How do you feel? Are you thinner, more fit and more energetic? If you had joined the Ultimate Body Program you would be. Think about it, if you had started the program January 2nd, you would be just a few weeks away from your Ultimate Body.
Now, think about this: 20 more weeks are going to pass. In fact, as of September 10th of this year, you could be completely transformed and wearing smaller clothes, feeling terrific and full of energy, or you could be exactly where you are right now. The choice is yours.
The Ultimate Body Program is a great way to get the body you want. With the daily food accountability and the structured weight training and cardio, you will succeed. Certainly, there are other programs out there that work, but few of them are as comprehensive or as proven as the Ultimate Body Program. In 20 weeks you can have the body you have always dreamed of and we can help you make that dream a reality!
Go to the UB website at http://www.UltimateBodyStudios.com and check out what we have to offer! Please call us to discuss the program at 972-712-2120.
Also, remember that the new Ultimate Body Kids Program is well under way. We have a dedicated class just for kids from 8 to 16 at our Frisco studio. More information about the kids program is on the website www.ultimatebodykids.com . We are also opening a new facility on Main St. in Frisco in the coming weeks which will offer new and exciting programs from maintenance for former UB'ers and even the famous Body Basic Training Fitness Boot Camps that we are well known for.
If you are ready to make a life change, call Teresa at 972-712-2120. Or, if it is after hours or if your change is more of a "major" one that needs to be made, please call me directly on my cell phone at anytime, day or night. That number is 214-232-0730.
I look forward to speaking with you soon!

New Frisco Studio Opening For years we have been faced with the question "What do I do for maintenance after I get the body I want?' and we have always helped to transition people into workouts in their homes, in larger gyms and elsewhere. We are excited to announce that within a matter of weeks, we will be opening a second studio on main Street in Frisco called "Ultimate Body II" or "UB 2". This second studio will now handle many maintenance programs, specialty training including martial arts fitness classes, sport specific classes and even our well known Body Basic Training Fitness Boot Camps.
The new studio is immediately across Main Street from the current Ultimate Body Studio. Soon we will announce the opening of the second studio and we hope that you will stop by to see what it's all about. |

The Art of Life
by Joseph Scott, General Manager
Just because you're eating out shouldn't mean you have to compromise the healthy eating habits you've learned! You'll be surprised how easy it can be with a little conscious effort and some help from the restaurant industry. The following are a few guidelines that if followed, should eliminate any self-inflicted starvation guilt usually caused the morning after an evening on the town.
-
Shop around for restaurants that offer broiled foods and salad bars. You'll probably find such a large number that the decision of where to eat will be more difficult to make than what to order!
-
Remember, employees are paid to keep you satisfied; don't be afraid to request foods be broiled, baked, or boiled, and served without added fats like butter. For example, ask that poultry skin be removed, or try your baked potato with a little steak sauce rather than sour cream or butter.
-
Avoid chowders, cream soups and saturated fats; instead choose broth-based soups like vegetable and chicken noodle. Not only are they more nutritious, they also leave more room for your entree!
-
Beware of the fat hidden in salads-it's there! Request chef salads without the ham and bacon, and instead more chicken or turkey. Also, look for parmesan cheese rather than hard cheese. Also, ask for low-cal salad dressings-the fats might be missing, but not the taste!
-
Order vegetables without sauces or butter; your taste buds may be surprised to find out what broccoli really tastes like!
-
You don't need to eat those dinner rolls dry just to avoid butter, yet-try soaking up the juices from that nutritious entree! And if you look, you might even find a multi-grain selection in that basket!
-
And for the finale? Try some fruit cup, melon, berries for dessert!
-
And, finally-the "Golden Rule"-you don't have to eat everything on your plate! Why do you think they invented the Doggie Bag? Why not make the moment last with tomorrow's lunch?
Try these tips, and you might even find healthy dining more enjoyable and satisfying than old habits - no guilt, no "I can't believe I ate the whole thing", and no dishes to wash! |

The Importance of Children's Fitness Today
by Wayne Kaya, Lead Trainer
In the past, when P.E. classes were mandatory and when things like video games and the internet were not as popular, young people were more physically active and, thus, more healthy. Today, unfortunately for our youth population, P.E. is not mandatory in many schools, and further some school systems are notorious for serving lunches that are anything but healthy. In other words, finding something healthy on a typical school lunch menu these days is the exception rather than the norm.
Today, children on the whole seem to be (1) expending less energy due the elimination of physical activities, like P.E., and (2) consuming foods high in both simple sugars and fat. In addition, our lives have become faster paced; we have less time to do what we need to do, so we welcome more convenient, faster ways to eat quickly prepared food. Couple this with the fact that almost everywhere we turn, there are fast-food establishments offering "dollar" menus, making eating at those places cheap and convenient. All of these components-less physical activity, consuming food stuff high in fat and simple sugars-make for a sure-fire way to expand the youth obese population more than ever.
Due to this growing trend, many parents must start accepting responsibility for their children's health, taking the initiative to enlist help in instilling healthy eating and physical activity habits in them while they are still impressionable. If they learn how to live healthy and active early in life, they will be more inclined to continue the lifestyle into adulthood. This is the mission of our children's fitness program. Although the workouts are not at all easy, we care less about exactly how many push-ups or sit-ups, for example, the children can perform and more about pointing them in the right direction in terms of a healthy and happy lifestyle. We created the UB Kids program with the right balance of physical challenges, nutritional education and fun. I am proud to report that so far this program has been a resounding success!
