Go To Extremes
This Christmas I was amazed at what people were willing to do to get the "hot' items to give as gifts. There were lines outside of stores at 5:30 in the morning just to get the latest video game system. I also heard of people scouring the classifieds to buy toys and such at hundreds of dollars over the retail price just so that their kids could have something special on Christmas morning.
It is clear to me that sometimes, when you want something bad enough, and when it is important enough you have to step a little outside of what we would call "normal" in order to get it.
I don't think there is much difference in those who are doing my Ultimate Body Program and those who would pay $500 for a $150 video game system or wait in a line at 5:00 am just for the chance to buy one. In both cases, someone wants something very badly and is willing to go to some extremes to get what they want.
There are numerous fitness programs out there that promise to deliver you the body of your dreams without breaking a sweat. There are pills, lotions, thigh toners, videos, books and everything in between that claim to give you amazing results overnight and without any real effort.
Unlike the celebrity endorsers of these products, I won't tell you that the UB Program is going to give you amazing results without any effort. In fact, if you join my program, I will tell you right now that you are going to work your butt off, literally. There is not much easy about it at all. You are going to have to show up for workouts, plan and journal every day's food, you are going to sweat, be sore and regularly push yourself beyond your own self perceived limits.
Sound crazy? It is. But so is the idea of standing in line for a video game or paying hundreds of dollars over retail for one. It is also crazy to try to raise kids, hold down a full time job and maintain sanity too, but we do it.
The bottom line is that in order to get or have what you want, sometimes you have to step outside of what many would call "normal" to get it. That's really how life is, isn't it? It is so easy to just accept life as it comes, never reaching for something you know you really want. If, however, you are one of those who knows that it is time to change your life, not only in fitness but in any significant way, step outside what most would call "normal" and go for it. Stop living life as it comes and start directing your life to where you want it to go.
Joining the UB Program is definitely stepping out of what many would consider "normal." But, if you want the results, and I mean phenomenal results, this is one of the best ways to do it. Call me today if I can help you change your life. It won't be easy, but it is so worth it. My cell phone is 214-232-0730 and my email is ron@ultimate-body.com
I am happy to take your call anytime that you are ready to make the commitment to change. |

"Mom, I'm fat"
by Dima Redelfs, VP of Business Development
Ultimate Body Studios
"I'm fat." How often have you heard that phrase? You've heard it from your mom, sisters, friends, and quite possibly you've even said it to yourself. But how often have you heard that phrase come from a child, maybe even your own child? I hope your response to this is "Never!"
I, unfortunately, have heard my daughter say this. My daughter, Amanda, has suffered with a weight problem since she was 5 years old. I'd always pass it off as "baby fat", or genetics, or just a phase. However, as the years went by, her weight never tapered but continued to increase.
By the time Amanda was 8 years old, she was calling herself fat. And by the time she was 10, she had outgrown children's sizes, was too shy to swim with her friends and hated being in pictures. Does any of this sound familiar? These are the pains we put ourselves through as adults yet here was my little girl, suffering through what should have been the most carefree and energetic years of her life.
You would think that at this stage that I would have dropped everything and put Amanda into every sport imaginable, but I didn't. The problem was that I didn't know exactly what to do. Not only that, but it seemed that every possible obstacle in the book kept me from taking action: finances, scheduling, business trips, excuse after excuse. I kept hoping the weight would go away on its own, that she'd grow out of it. I worried and cried for her, wishing (as all parents do) that I could take the pain away from her and bear the burden myself.
One year later, and after even more weight gain, I finally realized that this was my responsibility. I, as her parent, was responsible for what she ate, how active she was and how much TV she watched. I realized it was time to throw all the excuses out the window and DO something!! I had to do something while my daughter was still young enough to enjoy being a kid.
I had personally been in the Ultimate Body Program and had great results myself, so I talked to Ron about Amanda. He was able to help get her on track in just 3 months. I say "help" her get on track because it was truly a team effort. Ron taught Amanda how to eat and exercise and I provided the support and oversight of her program at home.
During that one summer vacation, Amanda lost 25 pounds, grew to enjoy physical activity, learned how to eat properly and most importantly, didn't worry about swimming with her friends or being in pictures.
If you have a child that is overweight, don't delay taking action like I did. Act now. Ultimate Body has a brand new Ultimate Body Kids Program starting February 4th at 5:45 in the Frisco studio. The program is for kids from 8 to 16 years old and is going to be the very thing that so many of us have wanted for our kids.
Please feel free to email me if you have any specific questions about my experiences with Amanda's transformation process at Ultimate Body. My email is Dima@Ultimate-Body.com or you can call Leah at 972-712-2120 to discuss enrolling your son or daughter in this groundbreaking new program. Hopefully you'll never have to hear your baby say "I'm fat." |
The Ultimate Body Kids Program Kicks Off in January 2008
Did you know that over 22 million kids under the age of 5 are considered overweight or obese? In fact, the number of overweight kids in America has tripled since 1980. Right now, less than half of all middle schools require PE anymore. 43 percent of adolescents watch over two hours of TV a day, yet get no actual physical activity at all. In fact, girls are even less likely to engage in physical activity than boys are.
Sadly, our overweight kids are growing up into fat, unhealthy adults who are dying younger and younger every year and this trend is continuing and gaining momentum.
What is the answer? Show kids that physical activity can be fun. Teach them how to make proper food choices. Show them that in as short as 8 weeks they can make a significant change in their appearance and in the way they feel.
This what me an my trainers have done over the years on a case by case basis. I have personally trained many kids in the UB studios and have had tremendous success with them. Over the years, more and more requests have been made to actually provide a kids version of the highly successful Ultimate Body Program. As such, we have decided that the time is right and the need is great for just such a program.
I am happy to announce the Ultimate Body Kids Program to be offered initially through our Frisco Ultimate Body Studio. The program is 3 days per week on either Mon. Wed and Fri. or on Tues. Thurs. and Saturday for a total of 8 weeks. The cost is $398 for the entire 8 weeks and includes many of the same aspects and elements of the adult version of Ultimate Body as far as learning proper eating habits, fitness training and cardio work. There are, however, many differences that make this a unique kids experience.
Each of the trainers have gone through a special Youth Certification Program that better enables them to train and supervise kids. Also, while the nutritional element is there, the high level of accountability placed on adults isn't. In the UB Kids program, kids are praised and given positive feedback when they do well. Even the atmosphere is different for the kids classes. The music is either tuned to Radio Disney or something similar and the equipment consists more of resistance bands, Swiss balls and calisthenics for exercises.
The program will have a soft start of January 2 and should be in full swing by February 4th. If you want to help your child down the road to a happy, healthy adulthood, this program can be invaluable to you. Contact Leah today at 972-712-2120 to find out more or go to http://www.UltimateBodyKids.com . Please remember that space is limited since we are starting with only one class time. |
Protect Your back While Training
by Wayne Kaya, Lead Trainer
Caring for your back is extremely vital, since proper posture relies heavily on it. In fact, improper posture creates faulty movement patterns that may result in injuring your vertebrae and possibly your spinal discs. To help avoid back problems, always use proper form and core activation.
Here are some guidelines that will help guard your lower back against injuries.
1) While doing any type of weightlifting exercise, always draw-in both your bellybutton and the region right below it toward your spine. This activates your inner core muscles, stabilizing and supporting your lower spinal region.
2) Perform any type of bench press exercise-chest and shoulder presses-with your entire back flat against the bench.
3) During any type of back exercise, activate your lower back muscles by arching your back. An easy way to do this is too simply stick out your rear end. Doing just the opposite, rounding your back, puts too much stress on your spinal discs.
4) When doing standing shoulder presses, maintain "soft" knees by keeping your legs slightly bent.
5) Perform preacher curls with your back just slightly, not fully, arched.
6) Do standing tricep pushdowns with "soft" knees.
7) Try to do leg raises with your head and shoulders lifted off the floor. This will help you keep your back flat on the floor, taking excessive strain off your lower back. Further, you can take even more strain off your back by bending your legs.
These are just some tips that I've come up with over the years. I sincerely hope that this helps. |
