Living Life
Are you living the life you want to live? I mean, if you want to be in a particular career or position, are you there? If not, why? How about what you look and feel? Are you living life looking and feeling like you know you were meant to?
Many times we tend to let life "live" us, instead of us "living" life. The sad reality is that so many of us just "settle" for whatever life brings us and rarely do we go out and actually get whatever it is that we want out of life. It's not that we don't have the ability to live life on our terms, it's just that we let obstacles stand in our way.
Are you letting fear, frustration or maybe a lack of self-discipline stand in the way of what you want out of life? Now is the time to change the way you are living.
Start with simply getting a clear perspective of what you want for your own life in mind. Find out what you want and then see what it is that stands between you and those goals. And yes, the things you want in life should be viewed as goals.
Once you have a clear perspective of what you want out of life and the obstacles standing before you, begin one by one, eliminating the obstacles and reaching those goals.
Try to maintain a very positive attitude and outlook as you overcome your obstacles. There is good in most situations, if you choose to look for it. Believe in your ability to achieve and succeed! I believe that we all have un-tapped abilities within. Try to tap into the things you have inside. Live up to your fullest potential.
Have you always wanted to own your own business? How about sky diving... sound like something you would like to do but have been afraid to try? Have you always wanted the Ultimate Body? Begin to reach for what you want. Live life, don't let life live you.
Take one step at a time towards one of your goals. Overcome the obstacle and reach for what you want. Soon, each success will build on the previous one. Soon, you will realize that you are actually "living" life.
If having your best, most fit and healthy body is one of those goals you have, but one which you have been afraid to go for, now is the time to change that. At UB, we can help! I believe that once you see how easy it is to take charge of certain areas of your life, you will see that other areas can be changed as well.
In my experience, you will be a much more fulfilled, happy person when you start living life, especially as a fit and healthy person.
Those of you who are my former UB'ers know exactly what I am talking about. You have begun living and there is so much more in store for you.
A new cycle of the Ultimate Body Transformation starts the week of March 26th. Are you ready to start living?

To Someone Special
You know who you are. For ONE thing, you are a new person, full of energy and life! You are very special. There is nothing that you can't do, regardless of what life puts in front of you. You put in FOUR times more effort than the average person and have made such a difference, not only for yourself, but for me and the whole UB program. There are THREE things (or maybe four) I want to say. Thank you, thank you and thank you. You figure out the rest :)

| Hello!
I have a quick question for you. What are you going to wear to the pool this year? A wrap? Perhaps a t-shirt? Maybe you are thinking "Pool? What pool? I'm not going to be seen at a swimming pool!"
You realize that it is time to get serious about getting fit, right? I mean, Summer is practically here. We will all be hitting the pools, water parks and having cookouts soon. How do you look? Better yet, how CAN you look? If you start a fitness program now, you can look great and feel good by Summer. But, it's up to you. On the other hand, if living life by sitting on the sidelines "wishing" you could be happy and do more is your style, then enjoy it. Not me. I prefer to live. I want to get into the middle of life and live it.
This month we will look at what it takes to succeed at UB and ultimately, at transforming your body through fitness. We will also discuss the new UB Kids Program and some other interesting things. I sincerely hope that you have found that the road to your own personal happiness and success is made easier when you are fit and healthy! I encourage you to continue to exercise, eat right and expect great things for yourself.
A new session of UB starts the week of March 26th. Are you finally ready to start? Imagine where you would be today if you had started in November... |

How to Succeed at UB by Wayne Kaya
The UB program offers a premier physical strength and conditioning course aimed at bettering eating lifestyles, strength, stamina and overall health. UB instructors teach how to improve quality of lives by transforming both minds and bodies forever.
Unfortunately, some people lose sight of what type of program this is, oftentimes finding themselves not progressing anymore toward their goals. These are not poor students necessarily. In fact, they just need some advice on how to maximize their potential in the course. To illustrate my point and, thus, to help them get back on track, the following list likens the program to a semester of a college lab course:
- To register for a semester class, like chemistry lab for instance, people must pay tuition and not expect to receive a prorated bill for missing classes due to business trips or vacations. People should expect the same at UB.
- People who are consistently late to lab sessions usually miss key information given at the beginning of class. Similarly, consistently tardy UB students miss the opportunity to properly warm-up and stretch, decreasing performance and possibly increasing the risk of injury.
- Each lab student should read the experiment and write pre-lab plans before class so that they are fully prepared. Likewise, UB transformers should formulate workout game plans before class starts. For instance, people should know what specific exercises they plan to execute and what weight settings they plan to use.
- Lab participants must do their homework. Likewise, body transformers must do their food journal homework.
- Unprepared lab participants, those without proper supplies and pre-lab write-ups, are usually sent away, missing the lab. UB people should always come to class with the proper supplies and food journal.
- Students must complete each experiment to receive credit for the course. Similarly, to maximize caloric expenditure, both partners should try to stay for the whole workout period.
- If people have to miss labs, they are usually required to perform make-up sessions. Similarly, making up an exercise class is always a great idea to continue progressing.
- Everyone does the same lab experiments at the same time, making leading classes easier for the instructor to help people and correct any mistakes. For the lab to run efficiently and to enhance group unity, any type of maverick attitudes or actions must be eliminated for both safety and consistent results. When working out, UB expects everyone to follow the prescribed program, not necessarily something new that people might have read in, for instance, workout magazines. They should check with the instructor first before trying a new type of workout or food plan.
- Usually in a lab, everyone is partnered with someone, promoting teamwork and a sense of helping others. Both partners have to do their parts to finish the experiments. Likewise, workout partners should help each other by, for example, counting reps, preparing weights for exercises, spotting to help prevent any type of accidents, and motivating each other. Any type of egocentric attitude does not survive very long at UB. People who enroll only to help themselves quickly realize that this program is about teamwork, not individualism. Stated differently, UB expects everyone in a class to help others when necessary.
- A lab instructor always discourages poor attitudes and talking back in class. The same is true at UB. People should not have poor attitudes when in class, as this usually negatively affects the whole class, chipping away at group unity, weighing down the quality of the course. Truthfully, the group is better off without people who have poor dispositions.
- In a lab, people are usually always taking notes. The same should be true in a UB class.
- Just like lab instructors assign grades, UB instructors categorize people into mental grade lists based on people's efforts and attitudes. What grade do you think that your instructors would give you?
Perhaps seeing a UB class in terms of a college course will help people understand why the program, which has worked for many years, is structured the way it is. UB stresses teamwork, deterring rebellion and poor attitudes. This is the only way that the program should work and will continue to exist. In addition, although some people may have never taken a college lab course, I hope that they are perceptive enough to follow the parallel between the devotion required to pass one and the dedication needed to benefit from a UB "semester." Only pupils who are eager to follow the rules and maximize their efforts will benefit from the course through-and-through. |

UB Kids is Here! Over the years, I have trained many kids who needed to lose weight and get fit. By applying some common sense fitness training and nutrition guidelines to these kids, I have been able to help them overcome something that many of us faced when we were younger and overweight.
This Summer, UB is formally introducing our UB Kids Program. The classes start on April 28th and will run in four week blocks. Each class is made up of particular grade students. For example, K-2nd grade class is held from 11am to Noon. The 3rd-5th graders attend from Noon to 1pm and the 6th-8th graders class is from 1pm to 2pm.
Each class is limited in size to maintain a particular instructor to student ratio. Each class is geared to each particular age group and specific exercises and nutrition principles will be taught.
If you are interested in enrolling your child in the UB Kids Program, visit the UB Kids website at http://www.UltimateBodyKids.com or call 972-712-2120 for more information!
