Youth Profile:
Brian Nunez

Brian Nunez
Brian Nunez is 16, a junior at Urban Science Academy within West Roxbury High complex, is starting his third year with HSTF and is a Youth Literacy Theatre troupe member.

Why is he involved
in HSTF?

"Because it has helped me grow mentally and physically - I'm active now. Helping younger youth with homework and interacting with them is something I really love doing."

How will what he's learned impact the community
and himself?

"I've been learning work ethic and working hard for what I want and I'll use that to my advantage in school - before I wouldn't have done that. I have volunteered for so many things because of HSTF - outside of my regular hours - I'm already impacting the community."
