IWarranty receivables must be monitored on a regular basis looking for aging. Develop solid practices that include turning rejects around within 24 hours. Any receivables older then 30 days should be explained by the warranty administrator. Be sure all repair orders are closed when the customer vehicle is picked up with the warranty claim processed. Thousands of dollars are lost with little or no management of this account. Approve all adjustments made to warranty claims in excess of am amount you are comfortable with. Some warranty administrators will take the path of least work and just shop policy valid claims to save them the hassle.
