Creating the Mood You Want,

from an Elegant Trio to a Swinging Sextet

A guide to help you and your friends preview the Magnolia Jazz Band

Hi, how do you like receiving this occasional update? Please make it a conversation opener, and say "hello".

It's Thanksgiving time again, and my opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate your friendship. In today's turbulent times, we're helping each other stay riding high. Gotta love it!

Our next public appearance:
Thursday, November 26
"Thanksgiving Feast"
The Mountain Winery, Saratoga
(details on MagnoliaJazz.com)

Thanks to Jordan Sofris (of Jordan River Productions) for the photo above, from a cocktail party last September.

Looks like Jordan surprised me here. Does someone ever catch you off guard? Of course! No matter how much we prepare, it happens to all of us all the time. The crucial point in the long run is not what happens, but how we respond.

Dozens of cliches come to mind, like "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade", "Every cloud has a silver lining", and "Play the cards you're dealt" . They all mean about the same: Don't quit.

Interested? Please read my blog for more of my thoughts about "Keep On Keeping On".

By the way, will you be celebrating a significant event soon? Throw a party and include us. Call us at 408-245-9120. We're easy to work with, so let our experience help your celebration. Or do you have friends planning their wedding? Please recommend us. Forward this note or email our report "Selecting Your Wedding Music".

In the meantime, please catch us at our next public event (see above). Please visit MagnoliaJazz.com for details on this event, and I hope we'll be working together soon.

And please keep this conversation going. Tell me what you think about today's little note. I'll reply to all your opinions and comments. For now, if you haven't already, please read my blog and visit my Facebook Page, become a fan, and you'll get an update for each of our public appearances.
