How Would the Sentence Sound Without This Word?

As the caller was explaining how his company's services could help bring more traffic to my web site www.annbarr.com it sounded interesting but a bit technical.

Listen to the next person you hear using this word and think about how the sentence would sound without it. I'll bet you will find the word is completely unnecessary.
