The first one hundred people will receive their coffee in a New Ridgefield Library commemorative mug.

Computer System Upgrade Postponed
| Dedicated readers of Library Lines in the Ridgefield Press will know that a library computer system upgrade was scheduled for Sunday, September 30th and was expected to cause some service disruptions that day. This activity has been postponed until Sunday, October 6th. Stay tuned for details in next week's newsletter.

Dipping into Proust Underway

The Library is pleased to present Dipping into Proust, a multi-media series of programs based on Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time, better known as Remembrance of Things Past. Monday 10:30 AM, Library Program Room Drop-In Storytime Children ages 3 and up are invited for stories, songs and a short book-based film. No registration.Tuesday 10:00 AM only, Parks and Recreation Center, 195 Danbury Road Mother Goose: Movement, music and rhymes for infants to 2 year olds with a caregiver. No registration.

Tuesday 6:00-7:00 PM, Library Program Room Scrabble Play scrabble with a tournament experienced teacher. For children in grades 4 - 8. No registration. Thursday 4:30 PM Library Program Room Junior Writers Young writers in grades 4 & 5 are invited to share their written creations and inspire each other in their love of writing. Snacks will be served. No registration.Friday 11:00 AM, Library Program Room Friday Flicks Movies based on favorite children's books for ages 2 and older. No registration. Saturday 10:30 AM, Library Program Room Drop-In Storytime Children ages 3 and up are invited for stories, songs and a short book-based film. No registration.

Some Spaces Open in Storytimes Starting October 1st
|
Some spaces are still available in selected fall storytimes, which begin the week of October 1st. There are openings in Storytimes for 4s and 5s, the Thursday session of 2s and Baby and Me, which all require online registration. Special afternoon storytimes for 3s on Wednesday and for 3s and 4s on Thursday are now drop-in programs. See you then!

Sign Up Now for October "Reading Is a Family Affair"

Registration is now open for Reading Is a Family Affair, to take place on Monday, October 29th. Reading Is a Family Affair is a book discussion evening, including pizza dinner, for children in grades 3, 4 & 5 accompanied by an adult. Registration is required in person at the Library, where participants may pick up a free family copy of our selected title, The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles by Julie Edwards, courtesy of the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.
