We Will Be Out of Touch Sunday - Tuesday
IMPORTANT ALERT! Sunday through Tuesday we will be without phone or email service while our equipment is being transferred to Governor Street. You should be able to contact us again starting Wednesday - same emails, same phone, same mailing address, but a new street address.
472 Main Street Library Is Now Closed
The Library is now closed to the public at 472 Main Street and will reopen at our temporary quarters at 21 Governor Street on Tuesday, September 4th.  Find out more about what the closing means for you and about our plans for the interim space.  Here's what you can do while we are closed:
  • Visit a library in a nearby town while we are closed and borrow items there. You will need your up-to-date wallet-sized card to exercise this privilege.
  • Use your library card to explore the many digital resources available on our website at www.ridgefieldlibrary.org.  These include many reference/research databases, plus eBooks and downloadable audiobooks from TumbleBooks and Overdrive.
  • Follow us on Twitter, connect with us on Facebook and sign up for our e-newsletters to receive the latest updates on our progress.
Please Keep Your Borrowed Items Until After the Move
Please hold on to items you have out and return them after Labor DayNo items are marked as due during our moving period.  No fines will accrue for the days we are closed.

To ease the pressure when we first re-open, we invite you to return borrowed items anytime between September 4th and 9th without penalty, even if marked as due during that week. This first week in the new location will be fine-free for everyone!
New Opening Hours Start September 4th
Starting September 4th, the Library will have a new schedule of open hours:
Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 7 PM
Friday - Saturday 9 AM - 5 PM
Sunday 1 PM - 5 PM (during the school year, beginning Sept. 9th)
