472 Main Street Library Is Now Closed
The Library is now closed to the public at 472 Main Street and will reopen at our temporary quarters at 21 Governor Street on Tuesday, September 4th.  Find out more about what the closing means for you and about our plans for the interim space.  Here's what you can do while we are closed:
  • No items are marked as due during our moving period.  Please hold on to items you have out and return them after Labor Day.  No fines will accrue for the days we are closed.
  • Visit a library in a nearby town while we are closed and borrow items there. You will need your up-to-date wallet-sized card to exercise this privilege.
  • Use your library card to explore the many digital resources available on our website at www.ridgefieldlibrary.org.  These include many reference/research databases, plus eBooks and downloadable audiobooks from TumbleBooks and Overdrive.
  • Follow us on Twitter, connect with us on Facebook and sign up for our e-newsletters to receive the latest updates on our progress.

Summer Reading Celebration

Summer Readers are invited to celebrate the books they've read with a performance by Bob Conrad, magician and ventriloquist!  No Registration.

The online reading log program will be available through August 31st,  so kids can continue to record their books and print out lists for school.

Remaining prizes may be collected at 21 Governor Street from September 4th through 7th.

Special thanks to the Friends of the Library, the principal sponsor of Summer Reading, and to Parks and Recreation, who is co-sponsoring many of our special programs this year.

brickYou can take home a little piece of the Ridgefield Library once construction starts and a large part of the building is demolished.  For just $10 you can purchase an authentic brick from the old Library as a keepsake.
