It's the Final Week at the Current Library!
|
The Library will be closing to the public at 472 Main Street on Saturday, August 18th and reopening at our temporary quarters at 21 Governor Street on Tuesday, September 4th. Find out more about what the closing means for you and about our plans for the interim space. Here are a few tips from our staff on coping with "library withdrawal" during these days: 1. Come in before the end of the day on Saturday and stock up on books, DVDs, etc. They will not be due until September 4th of later. As a matter of fact, you can return items marked as due on 9/4 any time the first week of September without fines.2. Take home some magazines. All back issues are being discarded for the move and are available free to a good home! Ask at the Reference Desk for more information. 3. Visit a library in a nearby town while we are closed and borrow items there. You will need your up-to-date wallet-sized card to exercise this privilege. 4. Use your library card to explore the many digital resources available on our website at www.ridgefieldlibrary.org. These include many reference/research databases, plus eBooks and downloadable audiobooks from TumbleBooks and Overdrive. Don't forget to share your thoughts in the Memory Book at the Circulation Desk before the end of the week.
