Moving Dates Set
It's official!  The Library will be closing to the public at 472 Main Street on Saturday, August 18th and reopening at our temporary quarters at 21 Governor Street on Tuesday, September 4th.  Find out more about what the closing means for you and about our plans for the interim space.

The Friends of the Library gladly welcome your donations of used books for their October sale and for sale on the Internet.  However, they will not be able to accept donations during the time the Library is closed for moving in late August.  So bring your donations to 472 Main Street now, before the move! Donation guidelines.

The Ridgefield Library's photography group meets on the second Saturday of the month to discuss their craft and/or head out on their many field trips.New members are always welcome.

  • Monday 10:30 AM Drop-in Storytime (Stories, songs and a film for children aged 3 and up)      
  • Wednesday 10:30 AM Night Owls (Children going into grades Kindergarten and First are invited to hear stories, play games and make crafts! ) 
  • Wednesday 2:00 PM  Dream Weavers (Children going into Grades 2 and 3 are invited read stories, play games and create crafts.)
  • Thursday 10:00 AM  Mother Goose (Music, movement and rhymes for infants through age 2 with a caregiver. In the Dayton Program Room.)
    Please note new day and time.for Mother Goose. 
  • Friday 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM Friday Flicks (Short films based on favorite picture books for ages 2 and up)  
  • Saturday 10:30 AM Drop-in Storytime (Stories, songs and a film for children aged 3 and up)
