Get Ready for Moving Day
Moving Day is coming soon, and the Library will be closed for app. 2 weeks for the re-location to our temporary home on Governor Street.  We anticipate disruption to service during the last two weeks of August and will announce the exact dates as soon as they are finalized, Here are a few things you can do to prepare yourself ahead of time:
  • Make sure you have an up-to-date library card (and know where it is!) so you can access online resources.  You can also use this card at any public library in the state.
  • Stock up on reading, listening and viewing before we close, and keep your borrowed items until we re-open.  Nothing will be due during the closed period, and no fines will be charged.
  • Follow us on Twitter, connect with us on Facebook and sign up for our e-newsletters to receive the latest updates on our progress.
Take a Seat!
Do you enjoy the comfort of the reclining chairs in the Storytime Sculpture Room?  Originally donated by the Friends of the Library, these items have served our patrons well over the years but are showing their age and will be replaced by new furniture in the new Library.  We are currently holding a Silent Bid Auction to find new homes for them.  just fill out a bid card and leave it in the jar in the Sculpture Room.  The top 6 bidders will each take home one chair and a footstool to go with it.
Bidding closes Friday, August 3rd.
