Reduce the Amount of Unwanted "Junk Mail"

Purchasing a home also means opening the door to "Public Record Recording" aka "unwanted solicitations. Though you can't prevent all junk offers, there are steps you can take to cut back on the number of solicitations you'll receive in the mail.

Your rights as a consumer include the ability to "Opt- Out", which prevents consumer credit reporting companies from using your credit file information for pre-approved offers of credit or insurance.

To remove your name from these pre-approved lists, you will need to provide some personal information. A secure website  www.optoutprescreen.com has been developed to process your request. Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will
only be used to process your request. You can also complete this process via phone by dialing 1-888-5-OPT-OUT.
You have the option to Opt-Out from these pre-approved lists for 5 years or permanently. Removing your name from these pre-approved lists does not affect your ability to apply for or obtain credit or insurance.

Opting out will not end solicitations from all local merchants, religious and charitable associations, professional and alumni associations, politicians, and companies with which you conduct business. You may continue to receive commercial mailings based on lists from other sources. Within 60 days of the process being completed, you will see a drastic reduction in pre-approved offers via mail.

Denver: 2nd hottest housing market in the U.S.
9news.com
In the last eight weeks, the Denver metro area has gone from a buyer's market to a seller's market.

The National Association of Realtors shows Denver-area listed homes are on the market an average of 33 days before being sold. That's the second hottest market in the country, right behind Oakland, California.

"Homes between $200,000 and $300,000 are selling very quickly," said Re/Max Cherry Creek Realtor Marcy Eastman. Realtors say homes over $500,000 are not usually enjoying the same quick turn around. But Eastman says certain Denver neighborhoods are finding higher priced homes selling faster - like Washington Park.

Homes are going Under Contract in as little as 1 day on the market and are being sold for over asking price in many areas. If you have been thinking about selling I would be happy to share what homes in your neighborhood are selling for and help you determine if its a good time to sell!
