Volunteer or sign up your non-profit for Moving Blount F.W.D. in partnership with Blount County Home Repair Collaborative and United Way of Blount County. The groups are seeking work teams from businesses, churches, civic clubs and other organizations that can assist Blount County families & non-profit agencies with small projects in one of two areas: Home/Facility Repairs - Carpentry, painting, landscaping, clean-up, ramps or Office Projects - Organizing, housekeeping, clerical, scrapbooking, sorting, collecting supplies or food on Aug. 18.
Get tickets for the first-ever AT&T Pigs & Politics Legislative Day to be held on Tuesday, July 31 from 4-7 p.m.at Alumni Gym on the Maryville College campus. This is a chance for local and state politicians to mingle in a summer pig roast setting with the public and business community - no speeches, just a lot of BBQ, beer provided by Smoky Mountain Brewery, live music and networking.
