Another week has come and gone and it's already mid-April. Tax day is tomorrow, so don't forget. Also, there are many Chamber events coming up in the next few weeks, so be sure to mark them down and make plans to attend.
We'd like to see anyone that can make it tomorrow for the Best Western Cades Cove (formerly Econolodge) ribbon cutting in Townsend at 1 p.m. Take a late lunch and join us as the hotel has enjoyed an outstanding makeover.
Likewise, we are encouraging anyone planning to attend the Townsend Spring Festival and Old Timers Day to buy a reserved parking pass for $5 by ordering online or stopping by the Chamber office at 201 S. Washington St., Maryville, Tenn. You'll save $3 and get a space closer to the activities.
Also, be on the lookout for tickets which go on sale Monday, April 23 for the Smoky Mountain Pottery Patron Event set for June 1 hosted by the Blount Partnership and Maryville Downtown Association. This is your chance to meet the professional potters and buy their work before the June 2 Pottery Festival in Townsend.
