RIDGECREST AND COUNCIL LEADERSHIP MEET... GREET... SWEET!
Ridgecrest Service Unit 609 recently hosted a visit with Girl Scouts of Central California South CEO Cathy Ferguson and staff: Chief Resource Development Officer Marilyn Deen, Membership Supervisor Julie Medina, and Training Specialist Michelle Loyd. The Service Unit shared their awesome Japan Relief Effort fundraiser - they've placed plastic bottles businesses around town and collect funds regularly. Citizens of Ridgecrest have been very generous to this cause and Girl Scout Sisters in Japan will be greatly assisted with these donations. The team also attended the United Way of Indian Wells Valley awards luncheon.

TORNADO RELIEF - HOW YOU CAN HELP
As a result of the worst tornado season in more than 90 years, countless families in many parts of the Midwest, including Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi, have suffered catastrophic losses of life and property. This includes our Girl Scout sisters and members of the extended Girl Scout family. GSUSA has received many calls from Girl Scouts around the country asking how to help. Those who would like to donate money or collect funds are encouraged to do so with respected national charities that focus on disaster relief including the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. It is times like this that Girl Scouts come together in sisterhood to help those in need. For details visit the Girl Scouts of North - Central Alabama's website at: GIRLSCOUTSNCA.ORG |
