welcome / bienvenidos |
Welcome to all 1,302 newsletter subscribers!
Jaltemba Bay was bustling with activity this past weekend as Mexico celebrated Dia de la Independencia. "Viva Mexico!"
I was looking back through our newsletter archives to when I joined the team in late February. I was rather wowed to discover the increase in subscribers since then -- 1,103 on February 27th compared to 1,302 subscribers today. It's great to have so many new people interested in Jaltemba Bay Life! It's a wonderful incentive for me to keep our readers (both old and new) informed and intrigued about recent events around the bay.
To help plan your upcoming trip or your day in the bay, don't forget to check the current weather conditions on the Official Jaltemba Bay Weather.
To find out what's happening this week and next, read through the information below and take a peek at our online Community Calendar.
During the summer, we publish the Jaltemba Bay Life newsletter every two weeks. Be sure to watch for the next issue, which will arrive in your InBox on October 2nd just in time for your morning coffee.
Saludos!

My first trip to Guaybitos was a little scary because I had to take a colectivo to get there. The colectivo is the local shuttle-like bus that transports people between the towns in Jaltemba Bay. Los Ayala is the smallest and southern-most town in Jaltemba Bay and is located just a stone's throw from Rincón de Guayabitos. It is a quiet beach community with an idyllic swimming beach that is popular on weekends and during Mexican holidays. There are several small hotels, numerous family-style bungalows and a couple of trailer parks. Tourist services include a few small mercados, gift shops specializing in beach paraphernalia, and the many taco stands and palapa restaurants where you can get a bite to eat and a cold drink.
