April 3, 2012

Welcome / Bienvenidos

Welcome to all 1,127 newsletter subscribers!

Spring is here and with that brings change. The weather is starting to warm up, the Tianguis in Guayabitos has ended for the season and Daylight Savings Time in Mexico finally went into effect this past Sunday, so all three countries (US, Canada and Mexico) have now "sprung" ahead.

Semana Santa (Holy Week) began this weekend and the influx of Mexican vacationers can be seen both on the roads and along the beaches. Many of the tourists will be here through Sunday in celebration of the Easter holiday. And speaking of which, we want to wish you all a safe and Happy Easter!

In today's issue we are excited to include "Rob's Ramblings", a new series by Rob Erickson that gives his perspective on everyday happenings in Mexico. You can read his first installment below.

To help plan your upcoming trip or your day in the Bay, be sure to check the current weather conditions on the Official Jaltemba Bay Weather Page.

You may have noticed that our newsletter didn't show up in your InBox yesterday morning as usual. No, it wasn't an April Fool's joke, but rather because we changed our publishing date to Tuesdays instead of Mondays. Watch for the next issue of the Jaltemba Bay Life Newsletter on Tuesday, April 10th, just in time for your morning coffee!

Saludos,

Tosia Polomski-Archer

Why I Love Jaltemba Bay
Posted by Mike on March 31, 2012

Traveling south along the coast of Nayarit, the highway brings you to two towns planted on the sandy arc of the Bay of Jaltemba. The first of these is La Peñita, the business end, and the second is Rincón de Guayabitos, the pleasure end. They work together well, giving the traveler...  Read More
