Welcome / Bienvenidos

Welcome to all 1,103 subscribers, and many more who view it on Jaltemba Bay Life and the Jaltemba Bay Folk Forum.

Even though we had another cloudy and cool week, the sun managed to sneak out when it mattered most. The weather certainly didn't seem to affect the activities... the Mujeres a Mujeres Fashion Show was absolutely fabulous, Carnaval came and went with a bang, the Italian Cooking Classes were deliciously successful, and the Glass Expo showcased some amazing talent!

Today, I am officially passing the newsletter torch to Tosia Polomski-Archer. Tosia plays an active role in our community... she paints with the Guayabitos Artists' Collective, she volunteers with Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue and she participates in the Writers Who Love Mexico. She is also an avid photographer and the author of "Active Acres Farming @ 40". We are so excited to have her on board, and we look forward to seeing her creative skills and eye for detail put to good use in upcoming issues. Welcome Tosia!

To find out what is going on this week, read through the information below and take a peek at our online Community Calendar.

To help plan your upcoming trip or your day in the Bay, don't forget to check the current weather conditions on the Official Jaltemba Bay Weather Page

And be sure to watch for the next issue of the Jaltemba Bay Life Newsletter, which will arrive in your InBox on March 5th just in time for your morning coffee.

Saludos!

Intro Letter from Tosia Polomski-Archer

As a part time resident of the Jaltemba Bay area, with the idea of making my winter stays here even longer, it is with much anticipation & happiness that I have begun a new chapter in my life - being able to actively see, participate in and then write about what has been and is going on in the Jaltemba Bay region so that more people, both native and international, can be made aware of just how incredible this small corner of Nayarit truly is.
My husband David, along with our dogs Agua Chili Bob & Momz and cat Blanca, call a casa we have built up in the hills of El Tonino our home for the 6 months we are away from Ontario's 'winter'.
Enjoying rural life has always been our way... it gives me plenty of opportunities to pursue my loves of nature, art, and photography... and now writing in a formal way again.
Thank you Ally for giving me this opportunity. I look forward to adding my words to your already excellent website.
