While we know you're still busy with the holidays, we want to take a minute to wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. And speaking of which, you will find a complete list of where to celebrate New Year's Eve below.

To find out what is happening this week, read through the information below and take a peek at our online Community Calendar.

Remember, you can check the current weather conditions and view the high and low temps and rainfall for the area on the Official Jaltemba Bay Weather Page.

And be sure to watch for the next issue of the Jaltemba Bay Life Newsletter, which will arrive in your InBox on January 2nd just in time for your morning coffee.

Friday, January 6
Día de los Santos Reyes
(Three Kings Day)
This holiday marks the culmination of the twelve days of Christmas, and commemorates the three wise men who traveled from afar bearing gifts for baby Jesus. Traditionally, Mexicans exchange gifts on this date, not on Christmas day. In addition, a special holiday cake known as "Rosca de Reyes" (Three Kings Cake) is served. This round, doughnut-shaped cake with candied fruit baked on top contains three small plastic figurines inside representing baby Jesus. By tradition, if you are served a slice that contains the figurine, you must host a party on Día de la Candelaria on February 2nd.
