Chipotle Turkey Pozole
by Allyson Williams
This fabulous sounding recipe is ideal for Thanksgiving leftovers -- I just wish I had seen it a few days earlier so I could have included it in last week's issue. It is made with turkey stock, leftover turkey, a little tomato, lots of hominy, and seasoned with smokey chipotle chile peppers in adobo. View entire recipe > |

The Incredible Journey of the "Skinny Little White Dog"
by Anonymous
My life was a sad one. Neglect, abuse and starvation were the "norm" for me. Fortunately, the kind volunteers of the JBAR Animal Rescue Program were on the lookout for candidates for the Spay and Neuter Clinic. I was lying on a gravel pile too weak to resist when they approached... a little white dog covered in open raw sores, severely infested with lice, ticks and fleas. Anxiety, fear and pain were always present. Read entire story >

Do you like writing, blogging or taking photos? Then why not submit an article, story or photo for our newsletter. You can write one article, an article every once in a while, or an ongoing feature... the choice is yours. It's a great way to express yourself, to share your experiences here in Mexico and it's fun -- and seeing your name in print is pretty cool, too.

Rotary: Women Helping Women
by Susana Connors
When a woman loses her breast to cancer, she loses a part of her self esteem. When she can look normal in her clothes, much of that lost esteem returns. Enter Cancer de Mama, a group of North American women who care. Read entire article >
