Greetings!
After a fun week at church camp, Matthew has been busy unpacking and re-packing for the upcoming week in Clarksdale, MS. He will be attending the Pinetop Perkins Foundation Master Class for Guitar from June 12-15. All of the youth, along with the workshop instructors, will be performing at Ground Zero Blues Club on Friday, June 15th.
It's getting closer.... the T-Bone Walker Blues Festival in Linden, TX! The Matthew Davidson Band will be performing on Friday, June 22 from 7:30 - 8:30. The Friday outdoor concerts are free. It's hard to believe that this will be Matthew's third appearance at this festival. He was a guest of Robin & The Bluebirds in 2010 when he was 12 years old, and performed last year with his band. Thanks to Russ Wright and the T-Bone Music Committee for their continuing support. Every trip to Linden has been great!

About Matthew Davidson -
"With sideswept, light-brown hair and a confident attitude that belies his years, Davidson is a compelling stage presence. The thrill is a long way from gone for the young artist; it probably hasn't even shown up yet. But his precocious, energetic style -- he counts Chuck Berry and ZZ Top among his influences -- is already earning him notice and accolades." ~Alison Fensterstock, New Orleans Times-Picayune, May 4, 2012
"Matthew Davidson is blessed with a God-given, born-in-the-bone, talent. His musicianship is far beyond his age. When I play with Matthew, it's like playing with a musician with many years of experience. Always a perfect gentleman, Matthew's personality shines through in every performance. He obviously loves what he is doing!" ~Joe Osborn, famed "Wrecking Crew" bassist who played on numerous hit records of the 60's - 70's with Glen Campbell, The Carpenters, The 5th Dimension, Simon and Garfunkel and many more

"Most Likely to Succeed"
 | Caddo Middle Magnet Gents Club |
Matthew's 8th grade classmates at Caddo Middle Magnet honored him by voting him the Male "Most Likely to Succeed". We appreciate all of the support that Matthew received from Caddo Middle Magnet during his 3 years there. He was invited to perform at numerous school events, and the school is planning on hanging a framed picture of Matthew along an autographed MDB T-Shirt. Thanks, CMM! Matthew will be attending Caddo Magnet High School in the fall. |

"This two-day, two-stage festival is a living memorial to the music icon that was a primary influence to most postwar blues guitarists and early rock and roll greats. T-Bone Walker's most enduring legacy was taking the guitar from a rhythm instrument to a lead instrument in a band. Honored by his peers by membership in the Blues Heritage Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he was first, and foremost, a loving father, a humanitarian, and a friend to so many.
The festival is headlined by Keb' Mo', Lil' Ed & the Blues Imperials, Bill Lynch, Robin & The Bluebirds and will feature a tribute to Honeyboy Edwards and Louisiana Red by Earwig Music's Michael Frank and Rocky Lawrence. The festival will also showcase some of the rising stars in blues and standouts from the 2011 IBC Youth Showcase - The Peterson Brothers of Austin, Texas and Matthew Davidson of Shreveport, LA."
