Matthew Davidson Band News
May 14, 2012
The Matthew Davidson Band had a great time performing at the 2012 New Orleans Jazz Fest! We appreciate the warm welcome we received in New Orleans, both from the Jazz Fest crew and the New Orleans media. What a weekend!

Thanks to Jerry McLeod from the New Orleans Time-Picayune for interviewing Matthew on Friday when we arrived in New Orleans. It was a great surprise to find this feature in the paper on Saturday morning under "Celebrity News"! The article mentions Shreveport several times, and gives credit where it's due to Bruce Flett and Robin & The Bluebirds for helping Matthew's career get started and for inviting him to sit in with them last year at Jazz Fest.
"In Shreveport, that metropolis on the Red River tucked away in Louisiana's Texas-like northwest corner, a musician knows he's on the right path when Bruce and Buddy Flett, the brothers behind the Bluebirds and before that, A Train, take notice." (Click HERE to read the rest of the article online.)
