The Matthew Davidson Band is headed to Alexandria, LA this Saturday, May 21st for the Cenla Nun Run and Community Day. See details below.
Thanks to artist Carrie Nichols for using her talent to paint a mural of Matthew on the wall of The Naked Bean for a college art project, and to Pamela Hairston for the "wall space"! This is yet another example of the support that Matthew and the band have received from Shreveport, and it is certainly appreciated.

"Mudbug Madness was started in 1984 by a group of Shreveport locals who wanted to pay homage to the ultimate in Louisiana institutions - the crawfish boil. Since then, it has grown into one of Louisiana's most popular Cajun festivals, stretching over four days during Memorial Day weekend. Congrats to Shreveporters Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Buddy Flett!
Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Buddy Flett, Bryan Lee, Willie Smith and the legendary Hubert Sumlin recently won the Blues Foundation Rock/Blues Album of the Year in Memphis for "Live! In Chicago".
"Guitars will rule again this summer, specifically August 2nd, since that's when Roadrunner Records/Loud & Proud will release The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band's new album, How I Go. Congrats to friend, photographer and singer Mollie Corbett. She will be traveling to Dallas on May 26 for a second-round "X-Factor" audition for Simon Cowell and his team! Mollie will also be singing the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers games on this same "noteworthy" weekend. Best wishes, Mollie! |
