We will have a Cougars exhibit setup along with special items for sale, awesome food from the Starlight Restaurant, Cobourgs newest amazing downtown restaurant and will provide tours of our new facility to our guests. Greetings!
Thank you for your continued support of the Cobourg Cougars Junior A Hockey Club.
We have some amazing things being planned for the first game in our new rink! Stay tuned for the latest and greatest news regarding this exciting event! Season Passes and Tickets to our home opener will begin to go on sale at our May 7th and 8th Try-out Camp! Tickets and season ticket packages can be purchased at the office of the GM by appointment, we will also be selling tickets during our Car Wash at Canadian Tire on June 4th, at the Waterfront Festival in our booth during the July 1st weekend and at our Golf Tournament. The Buzz around town is that the Cougars Home Opener will be a sell out crowd of 2250 fans! Lets make this a record in Junior A with the largest community support group of fans in the history of the OJHL! Let's make this Cougars Hockey Town!
It was an exciting weekend on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th as the Cougars organization enjoyed the opening of our new Community Centre. Hundreds or what seemed thousands turned out to tour the new facility. Guinness Book of World Records Rev. Kevin Fast was even on hand to lift 10 gorgeous lady body builders and one male, combined weighing in at over 2,000 lbs.
The opening of the CCC made national headlines on TV and people were in total awe over the size and technology in the building and especially the "Bowl". The Bowl is the new home to the Cougars with 2,000 bowl seating, 250 standing and 3500 for concert performances.
Construction of the Cougars new 1400 sq ft dressing room is now taking place and the new Maple OHL style Player stalls are being built and are expected to arrive soon.
The Cougars Players Den will consist of a coaches room, trainers room, equipment room, laundry room with industrial style cleaning equipment, players lounge with our amazing Cougars logo carpet (compliments of Sines Flooring) with a 50 inch TV and kitchen nook. The dressing room will consist of maple stalls with our Cougar logo in the floor tile, built in player lockers, large showers and more. CLICK HERE TO SEE A MOCK UP OF OUR NEW PLAYERS DRESSING ROOM.
Many people have been applying for some of the volunteer openings for the up and coming season and we would like to welcome to our volunteer staff, Theresa McRae who will be our new volunteer coordinator and Cougars Birthday Bash Hostess. We also welcome Kim Spencer as one of our fabulous gate assistants, Nancy Schumacher and Nancy Matthews will be our V.I.P. Lounge Hostesses and Tom Spencer will join Ken Petersen in managing and actively promoting our twitter, facebook and blog sites.
