COBOURG -- Three straight wins have the Cobourg Cougars picking up key points at an important time during the Ontario Junior A Hockey League season. In fact, the Cougars (27-11-4) have claimed seven of a possible eight points in their last four contests. They have eight regular season games remaining as they continue battle close to the top of the East Division standings. "We've been playing great," said Dylan Goddard, who scored a key goal against his former club Monday night in a 6-5 victory over the Whitby Fury. "If we stick with our systems we'll keep winning games." Goddard was acquired from the Fury in November and has contributed nine goals and six assists in 15 games. His power play goal Monday night cut the Cougars deficit to 4-3 late in the second period, sparking a rally for the club in the third.
