UPDATE ON Our New CC Centre

The 2,000 Seat NHL Size Arena is taking shape.
 One of two NHL Size Rinks being constructed. This will house seating for 400 people. The cooling hose nearly covers both rinks totals, approximately 30 miles of hose.
CAO Stephan Peacock with an employee from Giffel Construction showing the part of the refrigeration system storage facility. Any cold that is not being used gets stored in the ice batteries to save on the cooling system kicking in.

The Cougars new home will consist of a 2000 - seat - Bowl seating rink with an additional 400 seat practice arena, an awesome 8 sided full colour video score board, a Mini-stick play area for the kids, a state-of-the-Art Running Track overlooking the rink and grounds, a double gymnasium, WiFi Wireless and much more in this 142,000 sq. ft. facility!

Cheer on the Cougars to Victory as we go head to head with the Wellington Dukes once again. The Cougars won the last game against the Dukes in Cobourg but lost in a shootout to the Dukes at the Duke Dome in Wellington. So between the two teams we have gained 3 points each out of two games.

We are asking our fans to make a $1 donation to the Humane Society on January 17th.

COBOURG -- Goaltender Kristoff Lyons made 37 saves for the Cobourg Cougars in a 5-3 victory over the Kingston Voyageurs in Ontario Junior A Hockey League action on Monday night.
Lyons made his second start in as many days in place of the injured Mathieu Cadieux.

COBOURG -- After losing their first game of 2011 to the North York Rangers, the Cobourg Cougars have moved into third place with a win over the Kingston Voyageurs.
The 5-3 victory over the Voyageurs on Jan. 3 at Cobourg Memorial Rink propelled the Cougars over the Voyageurs to take sole possession of third place in the East Division of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The win came just one day after the Cougars dropped their first game of the New Year to North York Rangers 3-2 at the North York Centennial Arena.
Kingston was off to a rough start, with Kyle Wilhelm drawing a cross checking penalty only 35 seconds into the game. Cougars' forward Brett Gilmour notched his eighth goal of the season on the power play to

A. The top 3 teams from the South and the East receive a First Round Bye and then the top four remaining teams from the South/East play a best 2 out of 3 for the last two playoff spots. Then the final 8 teams are seeded 1st to 8th based on winning percentage.
