UPDATE ON Our New CC Centre

The 2,000 Seat NHL Size Arena is taking shape.
 One of two NHL Size Rinks being constructed. This will house seating for 400 people. The cooling hose nearly covers both rinks totals, approximately 30 miles of hose.
CAO Stephan Peacock with an employee from Giffel Construction showing the part of the refrigeration system storage facility. Any cold that is not being used gets stored in the ice batteries to save on the cooling system kicking in.

We are asking our fans to either bring some pet food or make a $1 donation to the Humane Society on January 17th.
The Humane Society will also raffle off an Autographed Cougars Jersey, Hockey Stick and set of Autographed Hockey cards. Please support our local Humane Society by purchasing a ticket the night of our game.

Cougars score five unanswered goals en route to victory over Dixie

COBOURG -- Derek Foote, Dylan Goddard and Blake Sexton each scored twice to guide the Cobourg Cougars to a 10-3 victory over the visiting Dixie Beehives in Ontario Junior A Hockey League action on Monday night.
With the win, the Cougars improved to 23-9-3 while the Beehives dropped to 2-30-2.
Dixie tallied the first goal before but Cobourg led 3-1 by the end of the first period after Evan Jasper -- with his team-leading 24th goal -- Goddard and Foote, on a power play, scored.
Cobourg took a commanding lead in the second with five unanswered goals. Scoring for the Cougars in the middle frame were Dylan Burdick, Sexton, Justin Danforth, Foote and Dylon McMahon, with a man-advantage.In the third, Dixie scored twice, but the Cougars responded with another of their own each time. Cougars go 3-12 on the powerplay to beat Trenton Golden Hawks 5-3

COBOURG -- When you give a hockey team 12 power play opportunities, the chances of losing the game are high. That's exactly what the Trenton Golden Hawks did when they fell 5-3 to the Cougars. The win over the Golden Hawks on Dec. 13 at Memorial Arena in Cobourg propelled the Cougars over the Kingston Voyageurs to second place in the Ontario Junior Hockey League East Division. The Cougars trail the Wellington Dukes by eight points for first place. The Cougars hosted the Golden Hawks in a rematch from their 3-2 loss to the Hawks in Trenton on Nov. 26. This time it was the Cougars who would prevail. Trenton opened the scoring with a goal from Golden Hawk Greg Ryan at 7:06 in the first period. Even though the Cougars would fire 12 shots at Hawks' goalie Spencer Finney,

COBOURG -- The Cobourg Cougars earned a lopsided 10-3 victory over the Dixie Bee Hives in front of a hometown crowd Monday night. In a south versus east division Ontario Junior Hockey League match up, the second place Cougars hosted the Bee Hives on Dec. 20 at Memorial Arena in Cobourg. While the Cougars entered the game with having won 23 games out of 35, the Bee Hives have only won twice in 34 games this season. Their last win came against the Villanova Knights on Nov. 7. The Bee Hives opened the scoring early in the third when Bee Hive Adam Logozzo potted his eighth goal of the season. However, the Cougars responded with three first period goals of their own from Evan Jasper, Dyland Goddard, and a powerplay marker by Derek Foote. In the first period alone, the Cougars out shot the Bee Hives 26-9.
