The Cougars new home will consist of a 2000 - seat - Bowl seating rink with an additional 400 seat practice arena, an awesome 8 sided full colour video score board, a Mini-stick play area for the kids, a state-of-the-Art Running Track overlooking the rink and grounds, a double gymnasium, WiFi Wireless and much more in this 142,000 sq. ft. facility!

Welcome to our 14th edition of the Cougars News Wire ... what an exciting season this is. Monday night the Cougars will Duke it out with the Wellington Dukes and we need our fans to fill the place just like the Duke Dome Experience. We could really have a 'Battle of the fans' Monday night!
Let's drown out those Duke 'Penny Cans' with our Cougar Air Horns or any other Noise maker you can find (get yours at the Dollar store for only a buck). (No Whistles please) Anyone who brings a NOISE MAKER to the game this Monday night will be entered into a FREE draw taking place during the second period!!! IN THE NEWS Cougars Blank Rangers 5-0
SportsBy JEFF GARD, NORTHUMBERLAND TODAYCOBOURG -- Goaltender Mathieu Cadieux made 23 saves to record his third shutout of the season and received plenty of offensive support as the Cobourg Cougars blanked the visiting North York Rangers 5-0 in Ontario Junior A Hockey League action Monday night. Cobourg snapped a three-game losing skid with the victory in front of 369 fans at the Memorial Arena. "It was the type of win we stress as a coaching staff," said assistant coach Brad Whelan. "We weren't in it to get the fancy goals. We needed to get as many shots as we could because when you're in a slump you just need to get as many pucks to the net as possible." COBOURG -- All they needed was one goal, but the Cobourg Cougars netted five en route to a 5-0 shutout win over the North York Rangers at home at the Cobourg Memorial Arena on Nov. 29. The Rangers managed to fire 23 shots at Cougars' goalie Mathieu Cadieux, but the Oshawa native stopped all of them for his third shutout of the season. Cougars' defenceman Cody Mintz opened the scoring in the first period with his fifth goal of the season, a power play marker to put the Cougars up 1-0. Forwards Justin Danforth and Jake Marchment for the Cougars followed with a goal each three minutes apart in the second period to extend the Cougars' lead to 3-0. READ MORE ON THIS STORY CLICK HERE

A. The Cougars are always looking for volunteers. Many students will volunteer their time for community hours needed to graduate. At this time, the Cougars are looking for volunteers to help in the capacity of 'Security' of our fire exists. This role is open to anyone.
