The Cougars new home will consist of a 2000 - seat - Bowl seating rink with an additional 400 seat practice arena, an awesome 8 sided full colour video score board, a Mini-stick play area for the kids, a state-of-the-Art Running Track overlooking the rink and grounds, a double gymnasium, WiFi Wireless and much more in this 142,000 sq. ft. facility!

A quiet week for the Cougars after a big loss to Peterborough Stars last Monday night at the Den. The Cougars were busy with practice all week including an early practice Saturday morning before the entire team set off for the 3rd Annual Cougars Day at the Library Event.
The Cougars, as of Saturday night remain tied fourth in the League with Whitby Fury (only 3 points from 2nd place) but head off to play Streetsville Derby's on Sunday Night. Thank you Cougars Fans ... Cobourg is 7th in the league in attendance out of 31 teams/cities! Let's keep working to move us even higher! With our new 2,000+ seat Arena coming in March we need your help to be number one in the league. With Kingston's average of over 700 fans per game we can do it!!!
NEWS FROM SATURDAY OCTOBER 23RD - COBOURG LIBRARY
The entire Cougars team attended the 3rd Annual Cougars at the Library Day.
Local kids and adults enjoyed our Cougars Day at the Library on Saturday. The players took turns reading to the children and talking to them about how important school is even when you are a hockey player.
players autographed their hockey cards for the kids, handed out mini-sticks, Cougar pucks and free tickets to adults and children.
And of course the Coug Mascot was on hand to help play a little floor hockey with the kids.
The Cougars organization wishes to thank the Library staff and our players for a great day in our community!

Cougars Win Pair

The Cobourg Cougars earned two big wins on the road this past weekend in Ontario Junior A Hockey League action.
Cobourg defeated the Pickering Panthers 8-1 on Friday night and the Vaughan Vipers 6-2 on Saturday night.
Tonight, the Cougars (now 9-4-1) are home to the Peterborough Stars (8-4-1). Game time is 7 p.m. at the Cobourg Memorial Arena.
Stars Outshine the Cougars

The Peterborough Stars were shining in Cobourg on Monday night.
Stefan Thompson of the Cobourg Cougars opened the scoring with a power play goal four and a half minutes into the first period. Ryan Donohoe responded for the Stars just 29 seconds later, powering the Peterborough club -- which scored eight of the final nine goals -- to an 8-2 win in the Ontario Junior A Hockey League game.

Cobourg Community Centre kicks off public campaign - Northumberland News - Moya Dillon
COBOURG -- Early successes contributed to an optimistic atmosphere during the official launch of the public fundraising campaign for the new Cobourg Community Centre (CCC).
"This is a great occasion as we near the climax of the grand opening of the Cobourg Community Centre," said Mayor Peter Delanty at a kick-off event at the Lions Community Centre on Oct. 19.
