We are all geared up and getting excited about our new State-of-the-Art Community Centre!
The Cougars new home will consist of a 2000 - seat - Bowl seating rink with an additional 400 seat practice arena, an awesome 8 sided full colour video score board, a Mini-stick play area for the kids, a state-of-the-Art Running Track overlooking the rink and grounds, a double gymnasium, WiFi Wireless and much more in this 142,000 sq. ft. facility!

COUGARS VS St. Mikes Buzzers
Puck Drops at 7 PM
An exciting weekend it was with the Cougars beating Villanova 3-1 at the Governors Showcase weekend in Aurora but luck ran out on Saturday, when St. Mikes Buzzers defeated the Cougars 9 game winning streak with a 6-3 win over the Cougars. Let's hope the Cougars come back Monday Night with a revenge over St. Mikes at the Cobourg Memorial Arena at 7pm!!! Come on fans let's show our support, pack that arena and give our players the motivation through the fans to WIN BIG Monday night!

October 4th game update ...
Thank you fans - the cougars collected an incredible '100' coats for Kids !!!
Salvation Army reported that that morning alone, they had 67 people in line for winter coats so the Cougars 100 coats will go very far in helping to keep kids warm this winter.
No child should be cold this winter ... please donate your winter coats and clothing to the Salvation Army

COBOURG -- Stefan Thompson wants to assist in the success of the Cobourg Cougars in any way he can.
Thompson scored twice and assisted on another goal in a 7-1 rout over
the Pickering Panthers on Monday night at the Cobourg Memorial Arena.
The Cougars, after dropping the first two games of the Ontario Junior A
Hockey League season, have since won six of their last seven.
They have earned points in seven straight contests, though, as the only
loss during that stretch was in a shootout to the Peterborough Stars a
week earlier.
This time last year the Cougars were on a much different streak, ultimately losing 11 straight games.
"It was very difficult, sad times for the guys," said Thompson, who's in
his second season for the Cougars. "For the boys that were here last
year, it's a big difference. We were just talking about that today
actually."
While the losing streak occurred early in the season, it still
essentially buried the playoff hopes for the Cougars. As the defeats
piled up, the harder it was to play, especially at home and the players
felt like "we were not only letting ourselves down, but letting the town
down," Thompson said. "It just brought moral down. You come in the
room, every-one's got their head down, there's no music, coach doesn't
talk to you."
That's nothing that a 6-2-1 record (currently good enough for a share of first place) can't change.

COBOURG -- There's no big secret to the success of the Cobourg Cougars.
They keep scoring goals, so they keep winning.
The Cougars have won six of their first nine games in the Ontario Junior
Hockey League this season, and during that stretch they have scored an
impressive 45 goals. That's the most by any team in the East Division
and it puts them in the upper echelon of the league as well.
They scored eleven more goals last weekend while putting up two more
wins. On Sunday, Oct. 3 they were in Toronto, where they edged the
Junior Canadiens by a score of 4-1. Blake Sexton and Evan Jasper both
scored twice for Cobourg. In his first game with the team, new backup
goaltender Kristoff Lyons delivered a strong effort, turning aside 25
shots for the win.
