We are all geared up and getting excited about our new State-of-the-Art Community Centre!
The Cougars new home will consist of a 2000 - seat - Bowl seating rink with an additional 400 seat practice arena, an awesome 8 sided full colour video score board, a Mini-stick play area for the kids, a state-of-the-Art Running Track overlooking the rink and grounds, a double gymnasium, WiFi Wireless and much more in this 142,000 sq. ft. facility!

Cougars Players Help Make Library Camp a Huge Success!

Hi, Wayne: I can't thank you enough for sending your players to
the library celebration today. The 4 players that arrived were some of the finest young men I have met. They conducted
themselves greatly and were a real testament to the youth that are a part of
your organization this year. They didn't have attitudes at all and they
were so very nice to the boys and girls that came out to celebrate their
reading today. I also appreciated Mr. Diminie's time as he stayed for

Burdick Latest Local Talent to Earn Spot on Cougars.
Three local teens will play junior A hockey this season for the team they grew up watching. Colbie
Andrews, Tyler Davey and Dylan Burdick, all currently 17 years old,
have signed with the Cobourg Cougars for the upcoming Ontario Junior
Hockey League season which begins Sept. 9. Read more ...

Former Eagle lands on Cougars Roster Brett Gilmour is glad to be a Cobourg Cougar. At least, now he is. "I'm
happy where I am," Gilmour assured, before taking to the ice Monday on
the opening day of the Cougars' training camp in preparation for the
2010-2011 Ontario Junior A Hockey League season. That wasn't necessarily the case at first, however, the former Bowmanville Eagle admitted. His
disappointment wasn't so much with the prospect of coming to Cobourg at
first as it was with the Eagles organization folding. It was announced
in April that the Eagles were merging operations with the Cougars when
the OJHL reduced its number of teams from 36 to 31.After all,
Gilmour lived about five minutes from the rink in Bowmanville. The
Eagles were the team he broke into junior A hockey with and the team he
figured he would finish with. "It was a great club; a great bunch
of guys," he said. "The coaching staff helped me out a lot and made me
