"I refer you to everyone--I wish more people would take my advice! They shouldn't be doing this on their own.
Everyone needs a Lynn. I think you're amazing at what you do.

Your Health Insurance Agent Is Your Advocate |
There are many misunderstandings about the role of a health insurance agent.
If you have a legal problem, you consult an attorney. If you have a medical problem, you go to the doctor. If you have an accounting issue, you consult your Certified Public Accountant.
If you have an insurance problem, you consult Lynn.
Lynn is a professional health insurance agent. She is a well-qualified expert, and health insurance problems are her specialty.

Greetings!
Spring is in the air. Flowers are blooming everywhere, and you may be looking at your closets in dismay and starting the annual round of spring cleaning. While you're simplifying your life, why not let us simplify your health insurance options? You may be able to reduce the premiums you've been paying.
We would be glad to run a complimentary comparison quote analysis on your existing policies. If you're seeking a comparison on your individual and family coverage, you can also go to our website and run a quick quote to see some options. We're glad to run these as well but the website can be a time saver for you.

What Would Lynn Do?

Q: I haven't had insurance for a year and I've got some pre-existing health conditions. Kaiser turned me down. I'm 27 and I was on my father's plan until I was 26. I'm really worried about having no coverage. I work 2 part time jobs, neither of which offers benefits. What should I do?
A: You could:
1. Take out a temporary plan if you can pass the underwriting questions and at least have something for the next 6 months.
2. Apply to several other carriers at the same time, hoping one of them will take you.
3. Get a letter of explanation from your doctor and see if Kaiser agrees that your pre-existing conditions are not serious.
4. Give up your 2 part time jobs and find one full time job with benefits.
5. All of the above
While all of these options have some merit, there is a great option that is frequently overlooked. As part of health care reform, the PCIP health plan (see below), has excellent benefits and good rates, particularly for someone in their 20's. And you meet all of the criteria, having been without coverage for at least 6 months and having been declined coverage within the last 12 months.

Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP)
|
If you're in the position of having had no insurance for six months and have some existing health conditions, you may have an extremely hard time getting approved by any major provider. Thankfully, there is a new option on the market called the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP). As an individual seeking coverage, please give us a call and I can help you get set up with the PCIP, which is a competitive option with surprisingly good prices. For more information about the plan, please check out the offical site.

Medicare Advocacy
|
I've recently been working with a lot of people approaching Medicare age. They come to me confused by the staggering amount of mail they are receiving.
If you have friends or family who are perplexed by the seemingly overwhelming choice, send them my way and I can quickly set them straight. Understanding the options is very difficult and I know how to cut through the red tape quickly. |
Health Care Reform is Working for Small Businesses
|
In a recent study referenced by an article in the Sacramento Bee, 57% of respondents to a poll didn't know that tax credits are available for small businesses thanks to the new health care reform law. This is unfortunate, because many small businesses might benefit enough from the tax credits to be able to offer health insurance to their staff. 4 million small businesses are eligible right now.
If your small business isn't getting any of these credits, please let us know. We'll see what we can to help out. |
