The study of artistic expression is greatly enhanced by understanding the human experience, particularly through the study of basic psychology by students in Idyllwild Arts Academy's Introduction to Psychology course taught by popular faculty member Shambo Carpenter.  

Paris in the 1920's was much like the American Jazz Age. Ex-patriot artists such as Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Isadora Duncan called it home. Several generations later, Idyllwild Arts students will recreate "1920s Paris" during their Coffee House talent event on Saturday night, Sept. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the IM Hall.

Western Civilization: is it headed for moral ruin or ascension through redemption?

To further deepen this question, as a society, are we steeped in hedonism, greed and moral decay or are we headed for a resurrective resurgence in our culture that will be effected by the influences of non-Western cultures that idealize and adopt Western ways?
