Drew Garcia, Manager of Idyllwild Arts Cafeteria, has attended to the serious situation regarding the GMO food industry and its growing related issues. It is challenging, but he has managed to make the purchase on a large scale with his per/student budget.

New Music Concert
 The Idyllwild Arts Academy Orchestra continues its tradition of performing the most exciting new works of our time, collaborating with world-class soloists and commissioning major composers. The upcoming performance features the World Premieres of songs from Richard Thompson's Interviews with Ghosts, Chen Yi's Tone Poem, Peter Askim's Elsewhere and the World Premiere of the Orchestra Version of John Cage's Credo in US. Also on the program is the West Coast Premiere of So member Jason Treuting'sOblique Music and Steve Reich's Music for Pieces of Wood. |

Idyllwild Alumna: Elora Hardy '99

Elora Hardy is creative director of Ibuku in Bali. She established the groundbreaking Green Village alongside the Green School in Ubud. Elora leads a team of skilled artisans, craftsmen and designers to create homes made of bamboo. She previously worked as a designer in NYC, where she created original prints for Donna Karan International and the socially conscious clothing brand Edun.
