We are now bringing free-range, local, naturally raised eggs to our dining hall. Hemet High Student, Ollie Hudson, a member of the Hemet Chapter of Future Farmers of America is providing us with eggs twice per week from his assorted-breeds of chickens. We are getting blue, green, brown eggs, and "they are really pretty" according to Drew Garcia, our Head of Food Services, who plans on serving them hard-boiled in their shells to show off their colors! We plan to use one the of our returning lesson vans to pick up the eggs at least once per week , thus lessening our gas/emissions impacts as well.
