Welcome to the Center for Financial and Consumer Outreach's quarterly e-newsletter! The CFCO is an applied outreach unit of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College's Sam and Irene Black School of Business. Our mission is to conduct outreach to educate the public, from kids to adults, on financial literacy issues. The Center's outreach programs focus on financial management and literacy, as well as college preparation and workforce development.

Recently, our Center has undergone a name change. We used to be called the Center for Credit and Consumer Research, or the CCCR, but we are now called the Center for Financial and Consumer Outreach, or the CFCO, which reflects the Center's outreach-centric mission and our focus on all facets of financial literacy.
Our official name change has coincided with the unveiling of our new, interactive website that is now available. Coming soon, our S3 Online Game will undergo some major renovations. |

| The CFCO continues to diligently conduct financial literacy education. Our goals are to:
- Empower people to improve the quality of their lives through education (for long term change).
- Use research-based educational information to educate both youth and adults.
- Use a variety of experiential delivery methods to build skills and knowledge.
In order to better serve our constituents, the CFCO is currently updating and enhancing many of our programs and outreach efforts for implementation this fall. Some of the ongoing improvements to the Center include:
- Enhancing the S3 Online Game. Check it out at: http://s3.bd.psu.edu.
- Correlating our programs and the National Financial Literacy Standards for grades K-12.
- Implementation of interactive 'train-the-trainer' financial education programs with online tutorials for classroom use. These programs include:
