CANYON LIGHT & PRAIRIE SKIES
September 2010

Welcome to CANYON LIGHT & PRAIRIE SKIES

Greetings!

Stand at the edge of an autumn thunderstorm. Feel the electricity crackle across your scalp, down your arms. The clouds climb high into the sky. Grasses bend flat in the wind. Smell the rain gusting from the west. Fall is building, and Matthew's paintings are drenched in it.

Featured Painting:

Living on the central prairie is a difficult and beautiful challenge. The summer sun bakes a sea of tallgrass into deep blue-greens of energy-rich chlorophyll. When the rains become short and far between, grasses turn rusty red and auburn. As nights cool and summer holds its breath, the bottom lands turn golden.

Over the last twenty years of showing at the State Fair, Matthew has won every award offered. Some sophisticated art snots have criticized him for showing his landscape paintings just down the row from giant pumpkins and the butter sculpture, but Matthew realizes the value of this venue.

This year, Matthew will send FREE package of 10 postcards
to anyone submitting a review of the brand-new painting. Adults: 200 words. Kids: only 45 words!
Simply hit "reply" to this e-mail to send us your review and mailing address.

You will have to attend the fair so see what painting Matthew has entered, because he's not telling!

Giclee
 (pronounced: ja-CLAY)

Giclee prints, meaning "spurt of ink," are produced using a 7-color ink jet print engine. Colorfast for over 100 years, these reproduction prints provide an appearance and impact closely mimicking my original paintings.

A fantastic option for the size or budget-conscious collector!
