Greetings!
If you missed the chamber's annual meeting on Friday, January 22, you missed quite a show! Many were astonished at some of the mind tricks Richard Kwesell played on the crowd. He picked on many people including Susan Browne from the Re8 school board, Cody LeBlanc, Perry Bell of Charis Counseling, and Ginny Baczek from United Power, just to name a few. The food was marvelous and I'm sure there will be extras next year since we definitely had a full house. Overall, it was a huge success. Many people are responsible for making this type of an event successful, but there are a few we would like to give a special thanks to:
Fort Lupton Recreation/Community Center and staff -
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!
Don Cummins for always being such a thoughtful emcee
Ray Brown for the use of the sound system
Valerie Espinosa-Martinez for your graciousness
Forlurado for the wonderful food and help setting up
Banquet committee/banquet volunteers - Mary Ellen, Julie, Amy, Melissa, Edwina, and Mark
To all those who donated to the Silent Auction
The silent auction brought in more than 40 items and raised $2,972 which will be split between the chamber and the newly-formed Fort Lupton Community Foundation. Gray Oil and Bank of Colorado also had lovely hors d'oeuvres and cordials for those who were perusing the tables of auction items. Thank you to everyone who participated!
Rosalie Everson attended and kindly took a picture of the magician and the award recipients which appeared on the front page of the Fort Lupton Press on January 27. The recipients of the night's awards were: Gray Oil Co., who received the Outstanding Member award from the chamber (Tina Mann accepted the clock on behalf of the company); Phil Tiffany, who received a desk set with a globe from President Mark Payler for all his dedication to the Fort Lupton community; and Mariann Johnston of Bank of Colorado, who received the development corporation's award from Mr. John Dent. |
