News from the Farm
Happy September everybody! Other than the drought, we've had a great summer at Peaceful Pastures and I have lots to tell in this newsletter! We enjoyed a WONDERFUL group of interns and we miss them so much! Abby, Chris, Misty and Taylor were such an asset to the farm and they sooooo relieved my workload. They have each gone back to their respective colleges and we hope they will keep in touch (and maybe even return next summer!) There is a new group of bottle calves in the yard. The interns named them: Truffles, Gadget, Whiskers, Hot Tamale, and Heffrey. 
Sign ups are open now for the WINTER CSA season (November-April) with drop off locations at FFM, WNFM and Cookeville. Of course you can always pick up at the farm as well.
NOW TAKING RESERVATIONS FOR THANKSGIVING TURKEYS! Price same as last year $4.49/pound, estimated 16-20 pounds each. A $10 deposit will hold a bird for you. Check next month's newsletter for delivery dates and locations.
Chestnuts are falling! Look for chestnuts at the markets starting this week.

Next month we will have a NEW WEB SITE for Peaceful Pastures!
The address will remain the same, but you are going to finding shopping and buying MUCH easier!!! Your sign in will remain the same, but you will need to enter a new password. You will be able to access previous orders, receive your invoice on line (won't have to wait until delivery) and select the market and delivery date when you order!!!
In addition, there will be a new web site *just* for the soaps. With new labels, new pictures, up to date inventory and best of all, you will be able to mail order.
