The kids have a new playground

Spring has arrived and summer is on its way!! We have been blessed with plenty of rain this spring. We grass farmers never complain about rain!

Plenty of happenings on the farm and even more for our customers. On the farm we have finished kidding and only have 10 more ewes to lamb. Two more sows are still due and about 1/4 of the cows.

A huge limb fell out of an elm tree and the kids first defolliated it, and now are using it as a jungle gym.

By month's end we will have at least 3 new interns! You'll see them at the markets, so be sure to stop by and say "hello" to Judy, Alex (girl!) and Kelly (also a girl!). The will be with us all summer long and we look forward to their arrival.

Those of you on the GA/FL run will again see my sister-in-law, Jill. I am so incredibly blessed to have a SIL that is also a dear FRIEND. The trip is shaping up to be high volume and for that, we are most thankful to YOU, our customers.

If you haven't yet signed up for a Summer CSA, be sure to do so! The first delivery for full shares is this month! Want to learn more? Check out this page of our web site: Peaceful Pastures CSA.

Finally, a "housekeeping" reminder: our office hours are 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday-Friday. If you call outside of those hours, please leave a message and we will return it the next business day. Although we attend markets on Saturdays, the office is closed.

Web Helper Wanted

Due to the demands of the farm and the markets, I am not able to post new info and pictures to our web site as I had hoped/planned. We are looking for a person to format, insert anchor links and publish recipes and to format and post pages of pictures with captions. This is a short term project.

Interested parties must be well versed and solid with Dreamweaver. Would prefer to barter, but will also consider outright payment.

If you are interested, please contact me: [email protected]
