Our number one job is to fulfill the expectations of a large and diverse group of Corvette enthusiasts.  Many will get to experience this historic occasion on track at Road America.  Road America is considered by many as the best racing circuit in America.  It has a rich Corvette racing history.

All CWT entries will be administered by Road America.  CWT activities at the track will be supervised by the management and staff of Road America.

Entry Information

The CWT offers a 4 day entry for Thurs through Sun, Aug 18 – 21; and an entry for Sunday only.  CWT entrants with a Corvette in proper running order can drive the track in (a) Touring, (b) High Performance Driving Experience (HPDX) or (c) Vintage, Historic or Contemporary Racing groups.   CWT entrants who are participating on track must complete an Entry Form.  The CWT Entry Form can be opened here, printed, completed and returned to Road America with the appropriate remittance.  CWT entrants will receive a special wrist band at registration good for on track and all off track activities.  Early entry will  help us to prepare for and manage all events more smoothly and is greatly appreciated.

On Track Scheduling

There are track sessions on Thurs, Fri and Sat for all CWT groups.  These sessions are at mid-day in the ALMS schedule.  There is track time all day Sunday for all CWT groups. Link to Provisional CWT schedule.

Corvette enthusiasts attending without a Corvette or who opt not to drive their Corvettes on track can sign up for an advance 3 day ALMS ticket good for admission on Thurs, Fri and Sat and buy a Sunday CWT spectator ticket for $25.  Ticket info is available on www.roadamerica.com.

Corvette Activities off track

(3) Arrangements are being worked on but are not finalized to show the Quest Documentary on Friday evening at the Road America Center.  The 84 minute film is the story about the Briggs Cunningham #3 Corvette return to Le Mans marking  the  50th anniversary of Corvette’s first win.  It was produced and  directed by Michael Brown and features  the legendary John Fitch, driver; Lance Miller, son of the late Chip Miller who made it happen and Kevin Mackay who found the car and restored it.

(4) Corvette Racing Team managers and crew will be at the Corvette Corral for presentations and a special benefit auction on late Friday afternoon following ALMS qualifying.  The Corvette Corral is located at the south of the track outside turn 3.

(5) Corvette Racing Team drivers will be in the competition paddock for an ALMS autograph session during the Friday ALMS lunch break.  Signage will be posted and arrangements are being made for shuttle transport between these venues.

Here is a link to a map showing the various locations.   Please study it carefully.  The Road America Center building (designated by a rectangle) is located north of the Corvette Bridge and south of turn 13, Bill Mitchell bend.  The Corvette Corral is located outside turn 3 at the south end of the track and reached via the Briggs & Stratton tunnel from within the circuit and from outside the circuit at Gate 4 from County Road J.  The Competition Paddock is west of the pits on the main straight.

(6) ALMS racing, Trans Am racing and other support races take place on Thurs, Fri and Sat.

(7) A concours and an autocross will take place for CWT entrants on Sunday.

(8) Ron Fellows is joining us on Sunday following a Saturday race in Canada.

Racer Entry List

A racer entry list will be published approx. two weeks prior to the event and supplied at registration.  Classes will be determined by race director Carl Jensen and tech director Jack Woehrle.   Vintage and historic racing Corvettes seem to get faster each year.  Some significant Corvette race cars that were prepared when the bar was not as high as today are coming out for this special event.  The CWT’s policy is that racing is for fun, not points, and respects all racers. The cars are the stars.

Touring and HPDX mentoring

Touring and HPDX entrants can receive track orientation, guidance and instruction from experienced people that will be on hand.
