Last Friday we celebrated Simhat Torah at school!
After lunch we gathered in Knell Chapel to celebrate. Every grade, led by a teacher, danced with the Torah and circled the chapel. Ms. Shapiro led kindergarten, Morah Maayan led first grade, Ms. Shabtai led second grade, Mrs. Snyder led third grade, Mrs. Feldman led fourth grade, Mrs. Rotter led fifth grade and Mr. Marks led middle school. While we danced with the Torah, Ms. Bat-Sarah led us in songs and prayers for the holiday. Before returning the Torah to the Aron HaKodesh, Mrs. Rotter read the last three verses of the Torah and Mrs. Feldman read the first paragraph of the Torah to represent that we re-read the Torah every year.
