This week we are celebrating Sukkot at school!
As a school we have been enjoying fulfilling the mitzvah of dwelling in the sukkah by eating lunch and having classes in the sukkah, shaking the lulav and smelling the etrog, and visiting community members sukkot, as well!
Tomorrow, kindergarten and first grade will enjoy sitting in the Goldbert-Crane sukkah and yesterday, second grade visited the Caltech family sukkah hosted by the Rodnay family. Tomorrow, third and fifth grades will be visiting the Kornfeld family sukkah and fourth grade will be visiting Bat-Sarah/Gurvis sukkah. Today, the Middle School visited the Pinson family sukkah of Chabad. These are wonderful opportunities for our students to experience different sukkot and different families traditions.
We extend our gratitude and thanks to Wendy Bat-Sarah, the Goldbert-Crane, Caltech, Kornfeld, and Pinson families for inviting us so warmly to their sukkot.
Look out for more Holiday Happenings about our Simhat Torah celebrations here at Weizmann!

Innisbrook Fundraiser started September 24 and will run through October 10. Ask your family, friends and neighbors for their support. The school receives 50% of the proceeds. Please show your support!Every year our school participates in eScrip. EScrip is a program in which Weizmann makes money each time our parents who sign up buy groceries, or just use their credit cards or debit cards at certain stores or restaurants that participate in this program. For every dollar you spend doing everyday things, Weizmann gets a small percentage of that dollar. It's easy money for the school, at no extra cost to our parents. Family and friends can register too. (*Note: This is NOT the scrip gift cards program we do each year. That will come up closer to the holiday season.) So here is what we need you to do: 1. If you already are signed up with eScrip at our school for your credit cards, debit cards and grocery cards, and your credit card, debit card and grocery cards have not changed in the last year, then you don't need to do anything!! 2. If you are new to Weizmann or new to eScrip at Weizmann, then we need you to spend 3 minutes of your time signing up for our school. Go to www.escrip.com. Look for the place on the screen where it says "sign-up." Click on "sign-up" and make sure to enter our school "Weizmann Day School" as your entity of choice to sign up with. Then follow the instructions for entering your address, email, grocery cards, credit cards, and debit cards, and presto, you're done!! 3. If you are not new to eScrip, but your credit card number, debit card number, or grocery card numbers have changed, then we need you to update your account. Go to www.escrip.com and click on "my eScrip." Enter your password to sign in. (If you don't remember your password, you just click on the "forgot your password" link and your password will be emailed to you.) Once you enter you password and sign in, just update your numbers. 4. If you don't remember whether or not you ever signed up for eScrip or entered your credit card or debit card when you first signed up and you want to do so, just let me know and I can check to see if you ever entered your card numbers. (No, I can't see your card numbers, but I can see if you ever entered one at all.)
Once you register, you can participate three ways: - By using your registered cards when you shop at a participating store near you. To look for participating stores, click here.
- By clicking on the "At the online mall" link on the escrip homepage and using your registered cards when you shop at one of the hundreds of stores online, including Amazon.
- By using your registered cards when you dine at participating restaurant. To look for participating restaurants, http://escrip.rewardsnetwork.com/
Thank you so much in advance for your help. Every person who signs up means more money for our school and every person counts!! If you have any questions feel free to contact me at noah.goldenkrasner@doj.ca.gov or just contact Carrie and she can find me. Thank you, Noah (Sarai's Dad)
