Parents, Come Back to School!

Wow! What a terrific week we are having at Weizmann. The classrooms are buzzing with excitement as the students reconnect with friends and beloved faculty. Now that we have commenced another successful school year we want to invite you to come back to school to hear first-hand the wonderful learning that is happening in our classrooms, the enriching and engaging interactions among the students, and the inquiry and exploration of our new materials. At Back to School Night we will also share your child's daily schedule, routines, and curricular highlights.

Parents of elementary students, grades kindergarten - 5th, please plan to join us next Wednesday evening, September 12 at 7:00pm in Knell Chapel; parents of middle school students, grades 6th-8th, you will meet the following Wednesday, September 19 at 7:00pm beginning in Room B upstairs in the PJTC building.

At both Back to School Nights you will hear about facility enhancements, the new programs of our P.T.O., and our plans for continued growth and sustainability.

Thank you for allowing us to share in the education and growth of your children; know that we take this responsibility very seriously. The partnership between home and school is one we value and continually strive to cultivate. Throughout the year we will invite you to participate in a variety of evenings that promote this connection and enable us to best communicate the goals and objectives of our programs. Your attendance is always encouraged and welcomed.

I look forward to seeing you on the 12th and 19th respectively.

Shanah Tovah and Shabbat Shalom,

Lisa

Weizmann Day School students will be conducting "Family Shabbat" services at Temple Beth Israel of Highland Park & Eagle Rock. The temple is located at 5711 Monte Vista St, Los Angeles, CA 90024

We are invited to join the community for a dairy potluck Shabbat feast after services. Please bring a tasty, meatless, shellfish-less dish, and join in the celebration.

Plan on arriving by 6:15 pm so Ms. Bat-Sarah can seat the students on or near the bimah, and consider taking the Gold Line. The train station is about 2 ½ blocks from the temple and the train runs every 5-15 minutes.

This is a wonderful way to start the new year. Please make plans to join us! Bring along your family, friends, and neighbors.
