Upcoming Cooking Classes

from
THE LANGUAGE OF FOOD!
Greetings!

We, as parents and teachers, are settling into our children's daily school, sports, music, and arts schedules for the new school year. Because we value bolstering our children's education, along with boosting their life skills and cultural awareness, The Language of Food is inspired to continue sharing the three most important aspects of life in France: the food, the language and the culture!

Check out our upcoming cooking class series for your preschoolers and school-age children and give your children the gift of learning how to cook and speak French too!

As you may have already guessed, I am very passionate about the subject of children and how they engage with the world. Every day I teach and interact with children. As a result of this experience, I have learned that combining language, action, and arts (cooking being included as an art form), is the best way to introduce a child to a new language. Learning language is what happens while you are busy doing fun, interesting things.

Involving both the left and right hemispheres of the brain while performing an engaging activity creates a sense of balanced accomplishment that is both fulfilling and creative. Learning a new language, skillset, and culture makes your child more adaptable, more well-rounded, and more confidant!

"Children who learn foreign languages at a young age have a considerable advantage in their future education and careers. They also acquire an immediate sense of pride and a broader awareness of the world in which they live." Marie-Pierre Nicoletti

Last but not least...A special thanks to Sandrine Sananès from L'Atelier de Charenton - école nouvelle de peinture, for allowing me to use the black and white picture that she took while observing a 2nd grade classroom in Paris. Make sure you visit L' Atelier de Charenton website and add her school address to your list of fun and creative experiences to have during your next visit to Paris with your children.
Merci Sandrine! Congratulations on your impressive Atelier de peinture!
