K to 5th grades: After-school French classes: Practical French - Putcoloring activity French Into Action! Linguistic and creative French classes designed for your school-age children: Practical French is an after-school program in which we explore language, traditional tales, games, role-playing, arts, and crafts projects to create an environment that assimilates all the vocabulary of both "making" and "doing".
 
This class is open to all children, regardless of where they go to school or their proficiency in French. 
 
When: Monday and Wednesday from 3 pm to 4 pm.
(the class will begin at 2:45 pm, for Community Montessori students and students arriving early from other schools).

Price: From September 13th to December 15th (25 classes): $375 -Back to school special, New Program: $350 until September 6th!! Hurry, as spaces are limited!

Children's storytimeNew!! French storytime for children with Marie at the Main Boulder Public Library! 
 
Join me in the children's area and enjoy books, songs, and more--all in French--at our bi-monthly story time for preschoolers and up!  Come and learn about the
famous French characters from French children literature! 
 
"Children who are exposed to a foreign language at an early age develop a greater awareness of the world they live in, and acquire an immediate sense of pride. Books in particular have a key role in developing vocabulary and your children's fluency."
 
Mark your calendars! This event is free and takes place every other Tuesday morning from September 7th to December 28th. 
 
 
3 to 6 years old: "The budding chefs" "Les chefs en herbe"cooking with preschoolers
French hands-on cooking classes designed for your preschoolers: The children will learn the basics of French cooking and baking while learning French vocabulary relating to the ingredients, recipes, and techniques of France's favorite kid dishes. They will bring home the wonderful dishes they have created.
 
When: Every Wednesday morning from 9:30am to 11:30am, from September 1st to December 15th. 1st class is Wednesday September 1st. Drop-in sessions available!
 
Price per each 2-hour class= $25 - back-to-school special: 8 classes for $185

6 to 12 years old: "The French cooking club" "Le club de cuisine Children's storytimeFrançaise"
French hands-on cooking classes designed for your school-age children: The children will go through every step of the creation of the dishes and will be proud to bring home the wonderful results of their efforts. In addition, they will learn all the French vocabulary relating to the ingredients, recipes, and techniques, as well as the culture and customs associated with the dishes and pastries, all in a fun environment.
 
This series of classes will act as a "French cooking club," where the children will be the "French club members." Each week we will dedicate part of the cooking class to practice our French language and exchange ideas and information about France. We will keep a "French club notebook" up to date with recipes, vocabulary, cultural information, maps, and drawings relating to the gastronomic and cultural elements of French life.
 
When: Every other Saturday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm, from September 11th to December 18th. Drop-in classes available.
 
Price per each 3-hour class: $45 -back to school special: 4 classes for $165

Last but not least,  hope you will be able to participate in this fun event for the whole family while helping a great program for children!
 
This Sunday, August 29th, from 2 to 4 pm, join other families at Sunflower Farm in Longmont.  Hold baby animals, ride the zip line, climb on tractors, collect eggs, ride ponies, etc.  $6 per person.  This is a family event to benefit Blue Sky Bridge - a child advocacy center that helps victims of child abuse and their families in Boulder County.
 
Join Blue Sky Bridge at Sunflower Farm to experience a true rural lifestyle. You will find baby animals (at the only USDA-approved petting zoo in Colorado), pony rides, huge shade trees with incredible tire swings and giant tree houses, and much, much more.
