The French Immersion Summer Camp Newsletter
Greetings!

Paris, Provence, Brittany, the Alps...cet été parlons Français! ("this summer, let's speak French!").

Send your child on a journey where culture, language, food and the arts meet in one place: The French Immersion Summer Camp!

Are you looking for a unique summer cultural experience for your child or children in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment?! We offer all of that and much more! Practical French is our motto! This summer we will once again cook, sing, play, sew, sculpt, paint, and practice yoga to put French into action!

Field trips: For the second year, Brigitte Mars will host our children on an instructive nature walk -en Français- ("in French") in her beautiful herb gardens and will end the tour with craft activities and herbal juice samplings.

NEW!
You asked for it and we listened to your wishes! This year The French Immersion Summer Camp will offer a new age group for the 3- to 5-year old. The program and activities closely follow the same schedule as that for the 6- to 12-year olds. The children will work separately in different rooms and the younger group will be supervised by Erin Menard, K-5 French teacher (see our website for teacher biographies).

Your little ones will be in good hands with Erin. They will begin learning their first French vocabulary and they will create beautiful projects while being immersed in a French-speaking environment.

NEW!
In addition to our regular camp program this year we have added a full-time cooking week where we will explore recipes from both the traditional and regional French repertoire, as well as new and creative dishes. This week caters to beginners and more advance students from ages 8 to 14 years. We will cover all of the steps of the recipes and we will create everything from scratch. This will be an interesting experience for your children to learn how to create complete French menus as well as the convivial experience of sitting together and savoring the results of their morning efforts. The afternoon dessert will go home with your
child(ren) so you will also experience the joy of discovering French desserts daily. Price for this week-long cooking session is $315/week/child.
